Growing up, I was on every single sports team my school had. I was also a competitive swimmer and loved being active and outdoors.
When I got ill, it was really tough for me not being able to do the activities that I loved. It wasn't until I found yoga that I was really able to be active again. From there, I learned how to incorporate other forms of exercise into my life, despite being ill.
I wish that I had known more about exercise and chronic illness when I first got ill, because I think it could have helped ease my symptoms and added more joy to my life.
