Mindful Eating: an Interview with Sara Best

I've  talked  on this blog about how mindful eating and nutrition has helped me on my journey to wellness. Yet, when I found Sara Best I knew I needed to pick her brain and share it with you! She is a nutritionist who doesn't talk about food. She uses mindfulness to tackle the problems that cause over-eating and poor eating in the first place.

“One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.”
Virginia Woolf, A Room of One's Own

In this interview, we chat about what mindful eating is and how people living with chronic illnesses can use mindful eating to manage their health. Sara also shares her best nutrition advice, and the other mindful activities she does to keep healthy!

I know that if I did pair eating well with my yoga, I would not be where I am today in terms of health. Eating right is a big part of taking care of your body and setting the ground for healing in your body.

It was such a pleasure getting to speak with Sara. She is full of great advice that I found super helpful when thinking about my own eating patterns. I hope this interview helps you gain a new perspective on what and why you're eating!

If you'd like to learn more about mindful eating, Sara has a free 10 day challenge on her website. I definitely recommend checking it out!

  6. Awesome interview. I've released almost 100 pounds by being very mindful about what I eat. I've been wanting to start yoga and keep seeing 'signs'... including this article! I think I need to pursue that.
