5 Free Yoga Videos To Improve Your Daily Practice

I am on a mission this month- to practice yoga daily. Instead of doing 3-4 longer sessions in a week, I am experimenting with practicing every single day. Even if it is only for 10 minutes at a time. Aiming to do a longer yoga sequence once every week or two is a great goal. But building a daily practice, even of shorter sessions, can help you get more benefits out of yoga. So I’ve decided to compile a list of free yoga videos ranging from 12-45 minutes that are suitable for people with chronic conditions. I hope these videos will help you find a daily yoga practice that is sustainable for you! I’d love to hear how your practice is going in the comments!

1. Yoga for Fibromyalgia with Chaz Rough

Chaz, founder of yogamazing  is a friendly teacher who genuinely enjoys helping his students feel better. Most of his classes are more energetic, but he has one video specially for people living with Fibromyalgia. The class is gentle, and he provides a lot of variations for different bodies and levels. He uses poses that often help with reducing chronic pain. The video is 20 minutes long and can make a great addition to your daily practice video library!

2. Yoga for Bloating, Ulcerative Colitis, IBD, IBS & Digestion with Sarah Beth

This well-produced video can help with bloating and gas. It is only 12 minutes long and can make a good afternoon practice. Even if you are not suffering from bloating, Sarah’s soothing voice and relaxing music make this a nice, gentle routine for anyone who would like a shorter practice.

3. Yoga as Medicine for Feet and Ankles

A nice 45-minute routine to stretch and strengthen the feet and ankles. A good practice for someone recovering from an ankle injury, or suffering from arthritis  in that area. The other students in the video make it easy to see different variations of the poses.

Warning: the first half hour of this video is done standing up. May not be suitable for people with chronic fatigue syndrome or people who are just beginning a yoga or exercise regimen.

4. MBSR Yoga with Dr. Lynn Rossy (good for CFS)

One of my favourite yoga videos! Dr. Lynn Rossy guides you through a 45-minute mindful yoga sequence. A great video to help you with your longer practice goals. The practice is gentle and focuses on the breath. They also have a teacher practicing from a chair, to help anyone who may not be able to complete the sequence on the floor. Dr. Lynn speaks clearly and uses simple language, making this video easy to follow.

5. Yoga for Chronic Illness from Aroga Yoga (that’s me!- good for CFS)

Time for my shameless self-promotion! This 20-minute video is a floor sequence that you can use in your daily practice rotation. It is suitable for people living with chronic illnesses and complete beginners! Includes a meditation at the beginning and end, and focuses on the body/ breath connection. Most of the poses can be done from bed if you are having a tough day.

Enjoy exploring these free yoga videos! Let me know about your experiences in the comments!
